Solution for email not working for longtime Comcast email accounts

Important Update! While speaking to an agent from Customer Security Assurance today I found out that Comcast changed their policy for security regarding email accounts that are Not the ones used for our Xfinity Login ID's. The Xfinity ID logins use 2 factor authentication, other email accounts do not. Comcast sent an email the weekend of 5-16-24 to tell their customers to change the password for their Xfinity ID logins. They did Not tell all of us that we also needed to change the passwords for any other email accounts we have through them. You have to call Customer Security Assurance at (844) 963-0185 and get one of their agents to assist you. They have to give you a 2 factor authentication code for each one of your email accounts that has stopped working while you are logged in to Xfinity.com/password in order for you to be able to give your email accounts a new password. You can not use the settings feature on the main website to reset your password for email accounts that are not your XfinityID. I did tell the agent I spoke with that the email they sent out should have included this information. All of their call centers are super busy right now because of how they did this. You may be on hold for quite a while. Its a good idea to have new passwords written down for all your email accounts that are not working before you call them. I hope this is helpful. May the Force be you
