Spam Filter is Absolute TRASH - 227 Spam Emails in a SINGLE DAY to Inbox!

Why is Comcast spam filter complete rubbish? Today alone I got 227 spam emails (and the day isn't even over yet)! I mark them as spam until I turn blue but they have yet to figure out the 45 from Elon Musk and "SURPRISE IN YOUR INBOX" in a row are not legit emails. I get sick of marking them all as spam and even sending them to ' [Edited: "Personal Information"]' because it does absolutely no good. Then I get legit emails in my spam folder that are definitely in my address book but Comcast keeps delivering them to spam! Your service is absolute TRASH! Yahoo mail does a far better job, it is like Comcast has not done a thing since its conception in terms of spam and filters.

@user_fedupwithspam Good morning! Thank you for taking the time to reach out to our Community Forums Team. I can see how getting this amount of spam emails would be frustrating, I get a lot myself. I'm happy to help get some of this cleared up. I have included some resources to help with these issues. Can you please give these a try, and let me know if you notice any difference? I look forward to hearing back from you!

This is a great resource for setting up rules for your spam filters. In some cases the Advanced settings help block the emails, instead of flagging them spam.

You also mentioned some of your emails you need are going into spam. By adding these to your safe list, this will help future emails go into your Inbox as they should.

@XfinityKassie

As I’ve said I’ve done all of this yet I wake up to 68 more spam emails in my inbox just this morning! I send them to [Edited: "Personal Information"] even when I can but I do not have the time in my day to constantly do this! There is nothing “safe” when it comes to email senders. No matter how many times I mark an email NOT spam, it continues to go into the spam folder…woke up to emails from my son’s school in the spam folder AGAIN!

I am perfectly capable of reading your online help info which is completely unhelpful. You sending it to me does NOT help any more than your techs walking me through rebooting the modem that I rebooted 5x prior to calling you in the first place! Your spam filters and your product just sucks.

@user_fedupwithspam I wasn't meaning to upset you, sometimes reviewing the information is helpful. Since these steps aren't working, I'd like to take a look on my end to make sure everything is good to go. In the event we are not able to get the filters to cooperate, I can issue a ticket to have this looked into further. To get started today, can you please send a Direct Message with your name, the service address, and the email address we will be working with?

Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon at the top of the page (looks like a text bubble)
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it
