SPAM

Well, now that we've established that Comcast can not stop all spam even with all the filters, we've also run into another problem. Spam folder is so full of spam senders and ip addresses that it won't accept anymore. What is the point of filters not working if you won't even capture the addresses where the spam is coming from after a certain number of addresses has been reached?  I've cleared the folder but that doesn't clear the list. Please add more space or fix this issue.

Thank you for reaching out here in our community about your SPAM email, @user_1l09ls. You have the right team for assistance. To empty your Spam folder, right-click the Menu button and select Empty Spam. This will erase all spam emails. You may have to log out and back in to check if this worked.

I think you misunderstood what I'm saying. Comcast will not accept anymore addresses on its servers of spammers. I know how to empty my spam folder. Please re-read my post. You all stopped collecting ip and email addresses off the spam emails. Apparently I've reached my limit.

Comcast/Xfinity email doesn't work that way. Email Expert @Latoque and Employee @XfinityGabrielS have posted that messages in the webmail Spam folder are stored for 7 days or 5,000 messages, whichever comes first. Email that is more than seven days old is deleted, and if more than 5,000 messages accumulate in the folder, the oldest ones are deleted to bring the count down to that limit. Spam scanning, however ineffective it may be, continues no matter how much arrives.

Are you using a Samsung email app to check your mail? That has limits of its own separate from webmail.

Why do the spam filters not work? They do nothing to stop the hundreds of spam emails I get daily and you cant get any help through chat and no one answers the phone if you call. There has to be something they can do!
