Switching from Xfinity to Yahoo

My husband and I are no longer Xfinity customers but still have our email addresses that end with @comcast.net.

When signing on to check our email after a reboot, Xfinity is alerting us to switch to Yahoo but we can keep our the same email.  Is this mandatory or can we keep things as they are without any future problems?

Regarding email migration to Yahoo! Mail  It’s currently optional to make the switch. Eventually, we do plan to migrate everyone to the Yahoo servers (probably by late 2026) to keep our email systems streamlined. We’ll keep you posted as that timeline gets closer!

Thank you for your response.  I am still concerned as to why Xfinity is making this kind of change.  Another person responded and said they were able to move their primary email but cannot move their secondary email address nor can they access it.  This is a great concern.

I was able to move my primary email but still can’t move my secondary email and can not access it.

Thank you for your response.  It appears to me that Xfinity has some "glitches" or "bugs" that need to be worked on.

You would have to wait until you get the invitation for your secondary email.

Can you give details about not being able to access your secondary email?  Were to trying to move it to Yahoo! Mail before you got the invitation to do so?  Did you try going back to https://connect.xfinity.com/appsuite?
