Temporarily blacklisted IP Address - try again later

On my Macbook, my Xfinity email has not been updating through the Mail app. The error message reads: "Temporarily blacklisted IP Address - try again later." It has been like this for weeks now.

I have been experiencing the same thing.  Called the number numerous times, spent literally hours on the phone and still have the error message and no email.  Please offer a solution!
