temporarily blacklisted IP address

Hi - I am getting an error using my Comcast userid on my MacBook/Apple Mail that 'Temporarily Blacklisted IP address - try again later.'    I can receive mail on my iPhone and when I log into Mail directly on the xfinity.com site.    I spoke to Customer Support yesterday who told me that they are aware of the issue and to wait 30 minutes to 1 hour and it would be resolved.  It is now 18 hours later and I still cannot get my email.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there and welcome to our Xfinity Community Forums page @KRBTKB. I am sorry to hear that you are not able to access your email on your Apple mail. Have you recently reset your Xfinity username password?

Hi  - My apologies - I should have closed this.  This problem magically disappeared after 24 hours.   I have not recently changed my password so not a cause of the problem.    I think whatever the problem is it is related to my MacBook being set up as an IMAP account.  My iPhone and iPad are set up as POP and never had the issue.

I really wish Comcast cared about email.   I Iost 12 years worth of mail due to some Comcast problem in 12/22 and they could not recover it even after I contacted Tom Karinshak directly detailing my week's worth of calling with Customer Service with no resolution and no callback in many cases.

This last problem has me convinced to go to GMAIL for good.    Sorry to be negative as I know you work there but leadership needs to really decide whether they want to support this or not.

I am happy to hear that the email started working again. No need to apologize for your feedback. If we never get any negative feedback we would never know on what we need to improve. I am sorry to hear that you were not able to retrieve your emails in the past.
