Thunderbird Client Email Settings

Have been using Thunderbird with Xfinity mail since day 1 ( ~10 years) with very little issue.

Started having issues last month. So I uninstalled and performed a fresh install of Thunderbird thinking database corruption.  Some client mail boxes update, although slower than usual.  However my main email in the client does not.

I searched the internet and found some recommendations months and years old.   My problems are more resent as if something changed on the Xfinity end.

I have 4 emails at Xfinity, what are the correct incoming, outgoing server settings, port # for Thunderbird?

What password setting should I use and what encryption if any?

Is there any other setting I should check?

Hey there Volt66 I did take a look to find some information on settings and set up. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/automatic-account-configuration

Please let me know if this helps.

Yes, this did the trick thank-you!

I originally created 4 emails, the first one created, my primary, was the one that wasn't working.

I renamed the primary and disabled it then re-created the primary using the automatic account configuration.  Now all the accounts update quickly after login.

So re-creating the account with automatic account configuration must have fixed some setting somewhere that I could not manually.
