Transition from Comcast to Yahoo Email

I use Xfinity Connect to receive my email. I have 3 Comcast email accounts. The landing page on Xfinity Connect shows the invitation to change to Yahoo email. I hit the link to "get started" and am prompted enter my Comcast email and password. However, this activity goes nowhere. Nothing comes up as a result of signing in. I cannot accept the Yahoo terms of service because nothing happens. Kindly advise.

Apparently the transfer does work using Microsoft Edge. I accomplished the email transfer from Comcast to Yahoo using Firefox browser.

Hi there, @user_bhgb6x! Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community Forum. Glad to hear you were able to perform the transfer. It should have also worked on Edge, there is no specific browser requirement. I would have suggested making sure the browser was up-to-date and clearing cache and cookies to see if that resolved the situation, however using an alternate browser is a great solution!

No, you do not have to change your email address.

... will I receive an email from Comcast when I have to switch over to Yahoo

I didn't get one. Instead, when logging in to  Connect webmail (https://connect.xfinity.com/), if your account is ready to be converted you should see a banner like the example in https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/email/68e5cc7e19d01b57e46b0864?commentId=68e64c7119d01b57e46df868. When that appears select "Get started" to begin the migration process.

Also see https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/yahoo-email-migration-overview and https://help.yahoo.com/kb/new-yahoo-mail/SLN36803.html.

Your Comcast.net email won't change, you'll just have to sign in to https://login.yahoo.com/ to read and send email from that address instead of using Connect.

If you want to use an email program or app with your migrated addresses, once you've accepted the Yahoo terms and have successfully signed in to your Comcast.net email at login.yahoo.com at least once, you'll need set up the email clients using Yahoo Mail server information.
