Unable to access email in Italy
My wife and i are on vacation in Italy. We cannot access our email. Keep getting invalid password prompts on our mobile devices. Also, logged into Xfinity website … can only see main folder. Cannot see subfolders. Help please. Our travel info is mostly in digital form!

@mikepcc This is a security measure to make sure that your email isn't accessed by someone who might be trying to gain access. You could try using a VPN through a 3rd party client securely.

Thanks … but why should I pay for VPN service for service I’m already paying for? Doesn’t Xfinity have some mechanism to authenticate us while out of country?

The concern is not "accessibility / disability" help related............ Topic moved here to the proper help section.

Raul - You missed the point of my question: you’re telling me I need to get a 3rd party VPN service (at a cost to me) to access my email. I already pay for service to Xfinity to access my email … that I’m not able to access from our mobile devices. Does every US Xfinity user traveling in Europe need VPN? I doubt it. My wife and I are sucking wind over here .… not very happy this is happening to us. Get somebody to fix this, please b

You might try one of the many VPNs that offer a free tier-------------------
https://www.01net.com/en/vpn/italy/
Also, just an FYI-------Comcast's position has long been that your monthly service charge is for your internet connection. Email, like certain other services they have provided in the past, is not a line item in your bill. They have had other services that have been dropped over the years like Calendar, a note taking app and so on. In any event, it you are not yet aware of it, they are getting out of the email business entirely over the next year, transitioning everyone over to Yahoo. See here:

Thanks to all for your responses. We use NordPass for password mgmt., so NordVPN would be the logical choice … but I’m hesitant to start fiddling with technology I’ve never used before (while I’m in Italy). What I don’t understand is why us? If this happens to all American Xfinity email users in Italy, why didn’t we know this? I strongly suspect most of those who are blocked have never heard of VPN!!

Its not just you, or only in Italy. Comcast email has long been problematic to access anywhere outside the U.S.

We are having the same problem in Italy. I agree that paying for VPN is ridiculous. I’m paying for international service so why this problem. I’m going to get rid of my account. Yahoo, gmail, phone is working fine. [Edited: "Inflammatory"]
