Unable to sync comcast email across iphone, ipad and desktop. This setup has worked for 3+ years but now have to frequently reset.

For last 2 months, have encountered numerous fails of syncing across devices, after 3+ years of seamless use.  Desktop continues to work fine, but iphone and ipad don't sync. Have tried numerous solutions (deleting and adding the email account, forcing restart on the devices, checking for update on the Mail app, etc.) and nothing seems to stick for more than a few days. This is incredibly frustrating. Is there a solution that will solve this?

user_f7w5iq using my email daily I can understand how important it is and how frustrating it can be if they are not syncing. Have you tried the following steps?

Open your email client (e.g., Outlook, Thunderbird).
Navigate to the option to add a new account.
Enter your name, Comcast email address (e.g., username@comcast.net), and password.
Choose IMAP as the account type.
Configure the incoming mail server with:
Server Name: imap.comcast.net
Port: 993
Security: SSL/TLS
Username: Your Comcast email address
Password: Your Comcast email password
Configure the outgoing mail server with:
Server Name: smtp.comcast.net
Port: 587
Security: STARTTLS or SSL/TLS
Authentication: Yes, require authentication
Username: Your Comcast email address
Password: Your Comcast email password
Verify the settings and complete the setup process.

Just a note that Comcast is in the process of shutting down their own email servers and is transitioning users to Yahoo mail. You have the same email address, but will have to approve the change, maybe make some changes due to limitations, and if using 3rd party email programs, change several settings.
