Updated Email interface-Is it Real?

Customer service has been of no help. I am trying to figure out if I have hacked email.

Periodically (every 3 months or so) when I log into my email it will show as a new blue updated version but parts of the toolbar are missing or do not load. The inbox content in the new version looks just like the old and everything looks the same. However I am unable to use the new version. It acts as if it is in a loop screen that introduces me to the layout of the new version. There is also a You Tube video about the new version of Xfinity email, which is about 2 years old which is embedded as a help tool.It always just switches back to the old version which loads properly with a full toolbar.

Every few months I receive an email saying that if I do not switch over to the updated version of the email then my email would be closed because it has not been used. The email that sends this is either a support xfinity email or even a gmail account.

I can't get in touch with a live person at Xfinity to confirm if this new version is real or even report if it is a fishing situation to get help in case my email has been hacked.

@ACShep How are you logging into your email, what website or app are you using to access the email client? We have not updated the Connect email portal in quite some time. The format has remained the same for the past few years. We do not send any email communications from a Gmail account. All of our communications come from Xfinity branded email addresses. You would need to ensure the spelling is correct as bad actors attempting to collect your information will put in not-so-obvious typos that very closely resemble our branding.

When reporting spam emails, it is critical that you send us the email headers. Please do not forward the spam email. Forwarding the email will remove the original headers.

Webmail Users

Select the message you wish to report as spam.
Click the "Spam" button in the right-hand corner of the webmail console.

Email Client Users (Windows Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.)

Select the message you wish to report as spam.
Send the spam message as an attachment to missed-spam@comcast.net.

You can find additional information about how we protect again spam and cyber criminals through our Customer Security Assurance website.
