Viewing PDF file from xfinity email

I have a problem opening up PDF's, I get an error message when I try and view. This is happening with both Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

It's a known problem that Comcast/Xfinity doesn't seem all that interested in fixing. The workaround by @mal316 described in https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/email/cant-view-attachments/68b4594ba61c8637b625c9c6?commentId=68d89dd798025038d61ad3c8

might be helpful.
