Xfinity Store messed up my friends email account!
My friend needed to reset their password due to xfinity's data breach: Notice To Customers of Data Security Incident.pdf (xfinity.com)
It happens.
They have a hard time with technology so they brought their laptop to the xfinity store for help changing the password.
By the time they left, the clerk had created a totally new account with a completely different email address, and "cleaned up" their web browser by removing bookmarks and favorites!
Why they did anything else but help change the password is unknown to me.
Now my friend cannot access their original primary email address, and all the information was moved to a "new" account.
Called xfinity and they referred us the the password reset team, who is supposed to call in the next 48 hrs to fix a mistake that they created.
Xfinity is free to contact me so i can refer them to the customer that is having this issue, and the xfinity store that caused the problem.
