xfinity/Comcast email marked as spam in GMail

I have a friend that uses GMail to send email with their xfinity (comcast.net) address.    This always goes to spam in my Gmail account.   This question was asked here:  https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/email/comcast-emails-marked-as-spam-by-gmail/660ac5074b739323f01b90ad      Is there a resolution to this?

Thanks for reaching out to us, To clarify you have a friend that will send you an e-mail from their Comcast account,  but when you receive it it's not in your inbox,  it's coming into your spam location? Have you tried updating your Gmail spam settings?

Yes, I have.   I don't think the problem is at my end.    This issue is the same as this post:  https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/email/comcast-emails-marked-as-spam-by-gmail/660ac5074b739323f01b90ad

So this does look like more of a pervasive issue.   Was there ever a resolution to this?

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us: 
• Click "Sign In" if necessary 
• Click the "Direct Message" icon (upper right corner of this page) 
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon 
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list 
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window 
• Press Enter to send your message
