xfinity/Comcast email marked as spam in GMail

I have a friend that uses GMail to send email with their xfinity (comcast.net) address. This always goes to spam in my Gmail account. Thanks for reaching out to us, To clarify you have a friend that will send you an e-mail from their Comcast account, but when you receive it it's not in your inbox, it's coming into your spam location? Have you tried updating your Gmail spam settings?

Yes, I have. I don't think the problem is at my end. This issue is the same as this post: https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/email/comcast-emails-marked-as-spam-by-gmail/660ac5074b739323f01b90ad

So this does look like more of a pervasive issue. Was there ever a resolution to this?
