Yahoo email bounces back as undeliverable

A friend of mine with a yahoo email account says that whenever he replies to a group email that includes me, the email to me (@comcast.net email) bounces back to him as undeliverable. He does not have this problem when sending me a one-on-one email.  I have looked in my spam filter and don’t see the missing emails there either.  Any suggestions?

Hello and welcome to Comcast @Bill_123. Thank you so much for reaching out to us with your friend's email issues. Do you know if he gets an error message with the undeliverable message?

Thanks for responding!  Here is the message they get:  “Sorry, we were unable to deliver your message to the following address.”  Then in the next paragraph it shows my Comcast email in between < >, then it says “554: resimta-c2p-560036.sys.comcast.net resimta-c2p-560036.sys.comcast.net ESMTP server not available”

@Bill_123, thanks for the additional details. This sometimes happens if the server is detecting spam. Do you know how many addresses are on this group email? Also, is there any error code on this bounce back?

There are usually 2-3 other people on the email response, and I am told that none of the other emails get blocked.  (They aren’t Comcast email addresses.). The error message I shared above is the only one that appears when it’s bounced back to the sender.

@Bill_123, I just noticed the "554" at the beginning there! Here is a page specifically for that error code: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/fix-a-554-error Please pass this along to your friend, so they can have the information needed to get this resolved!
