Yahoo transition issues

Hi all

i just completed the transition to yahoo and added the account to my iPhone

however I am having trouble adding it to macOS native mail app

when I try to add a yahoo account in mail it’s inactive and looks like it’s still trying to use Comcast’s imap settings

also now I keep getting a notice when signing into yahoo online that I need to try to log onto it with a browser or device I’ve used before

i ran out of browsers and devices and keep getting the same errors

can some one help me with the yahoo issue and also successfully add to macOS mail?thanks

Try clearing your browser[s] cache and cookies and then close your browser.  Start a new session and try again to log in again to your comcast.net email on Yahoo! Mail.

Hello user_bg1221 did clearing the cache/cookies from your browser help with some of these errors? Yahoo does have a great article that has the new Yahoo email settings to use when connecting from a third-party app.

Make sure your email client uses the settings below.

User name: Your full Comcast.net email address
Password: If your Comcast.net password does not work with your third-party email client, you may need to generate and use an app password. See the "How to generate an app password" section to learn how to get an app password.

Incoming mail settings:

IMAP settings
Server: imap.mail.yahoo.com
Port: 993
Encryption method: SSL/TLS

POP settings
Server: pop.mail.yahoo.com
Port: 995
Encryption method: SSL/TLS

Outgoing mail settings:

Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Port: 465 or 587
Requires SSL: Yes
Requires TLS: Yes (if available)
Requires authentication: Yes

I hope you had a successful transition.  Both my wife and I transferred over, and now we cannot access anything through Outlook.

Did you change your settings to the Yahoo servers?
