Dark screen in apps

I am having an issue with the faded screen, on Netflix, Disney+ and Prime Video. Once in the app, the menus look great, but the second a show starts it immediately fades to where only bright images can barely be seen. I have tried restarting the Flex box, switching HDMI ports, tried every screen resolution in the Flex settings menu, but nothing fixes it.

I had this same issue and was able to fix it by changing the display settings on the flex. It had me on the best available which was a 4K setting and my tv is not 4K. I changed it to the highest setting that is for my tv and it fixed the problem in my apps.
