flex brightness

When I'm streaming through any of the apps, the brightness of the picture is very dim. I know this is a flex issue and not the TV as a whole, because when I use the apps thru my TV itself the brightness is fine. The resolution thru the box is at the TV max (4K HD TV). I've been thru all the settings on the Flex, I just don't see the option to increase the brightness.

Hi @user_b64378, thanks for reaching out to us through Xfinity Forums. I can’t imagine the headache this has caused you. I have been in your shoes and it is never fun to have a dim picture. I just have some general questions. Is the home screen dim or only when watching the streaming apps? Is it every app you attempt to use? Do you have any equipment between the Flex box and TV (DVR, VCR, Surround Sound). Have you tried switching the HDMI cord? HDMI cables can often cause a number of different problems. The most common problems are no picture, a fuzzy picture, a discolored picture, an intermittent picture, and poor screen resolution, or even no sound. I am sure working together we will get to the bottom of this!

Thank you for letting me know the details of what you've attempted for troubleshooting. I would be super frustrated if my picture was dim. I like being able to actually see the details of what I'm watching. It's important to me to help you with finding a resolution so you can enjoy your programming. Please send us a direct message to "Xfinity Support" for further troubleshooting with your full name and address.
