Flex data stream
When using Flex with an account that normally only supplies me with 1080p at most, will my 1.2 TB data allowance be reduced by the Flex's 4K streaming capability even though only 1080p is being shown on my TV?

@craigwf62 No, your data allowance is not affected. If your TV/device is only capable of 1080p, you cannot receive/watch 4k content. Even if the program says it is available in 4k, you would receive the 1080p streamed version.

Hello, @craigwf62
Xfinity Internet comes with 1.2 TB of internet data per month. If you use more than 1.2 TB in a month, your account may become subject to overage charges. 1080p is a set of HDTV high-definition video modes characterized by 1,920 pixels displayed across the screen horizontally and 1,080 pixels down the screen. Higher resolutions, such as 1080p and 4K, show more pixels per frame, leading to sharper, clearer images. Showing these higher pixels takes a lot more data. According to Google, 1080p HD streaming uses approximately 1.5 GB to 3 GB of data per hour.
