No subtitles ever work on peacock

Why does subtitles not work ok peacock? Click on it for anything on peacock and it always stays on off or jumps to the side. Works on every app on flex box but peacock and Hulu, but at least the latter is correctable occasionally. I quit that though.

[Edited due to inflammatory remarks] Makes the app pointless. I’ve seen others have this issue which has never been fixed.

Hello, @JokerPenn711. I would love to look into what's happening with the subtitles on our Peacock app. What type of device are you using to access it? Do you receive an error message when turning the feature on? Is it not displaying on any selected program? I've tested it on a few programs on my end, and it's showing up for me, so it may be related to the program or the device type used to stream our Peacock app and I'd like to get to the bottom of this so you can use this feature as well.

@XfinityStephanieK

I’m using xfinity Flex so it’s my smart tv. It’s never worked on the tv app and I’ve talked to many others that have this issue when trying to use subtitles.

Just stays on off and doesn’t have the option of toggling it. Tried different remotes and it’s the app.  Pretty much have given up. It’s not a disability subject so no idea what the person below is talking about. Accessibility is subtitles. No worries though.

The app has major issues but this for me is the big one and why I can’t use it. Rather strange when the rest of the apps are fine except Hulu from a year back but they’re aware of their issues.  Thx.

I am sorry you have been having this issue, we certainly know the importance of having the subtitles properly work. Just to confirm, have you attempted to reboot your Flex box to see if that helps correct this at all?

Unplug the power cable from the back of the Flex box, wait 10-15 secs, plug the power cable back in, and allow 10 mins or less for the box to reboot.

The concern is not "accessibility / disability" help related. Thread moved here to the proper help section for assistance.

I can get the cc to work on Peacock, but it's too small to read unless you are right up to the tv. Any way to enlarge? I have tried the Xfinity Assistant......whatta joke!

Since this is a third-party application, most of your accessibility user preferences on X1 and Flex will not be observed once you launch the app. However, you can enable the app’s own accessibility features, which will vary within the app. Closed captioning (which Peacock also refers to as subtitles) is available for content on Peacock. Closed captioning can be customized to provide different sizing, font, and color options by changing the settings in your account or on your device’s Accessibility settings.
