Paramount+ slow and laggy

Why is the Paramount+ app so slow and laggy on the Xi6-T? The screen refreshes are super slow to load/draw, doing searches hesitates and hiccups. When I press the back button while watching a show, it takes almost a minute to go back with a spinning circle onscreen. All of the other apps on the device work fine and are quick. Just the Paramount+ app is buggy. A reboot of the device doesn't do anything to improve. The app built in my Samsung TV works perfectly fine.

This is certainly not the experience that we want you to have when trying to use your Xi6-T to stream your favorite shows and movies, @DreamSayerZ. Restarting your device is a great start to help improve issues like this. Have you had a chance to check if you have the latest Paramount+ application installed? Another step that can help is rebooting your modem as it could be causing an unknown error with this specific application when it loads. Let us know if that helps!

@XfinityJoshD​ How do I check if I have the latest Paramount+ app installed? Doesn't the box handle that? All the apps are already pre-installed.

@DreamSayerZ That's an excellent question. Open the Paramount+ app, and select “Settings.” Click “System”, then “Software Updates." Select “Update Software” to update to the latest version of the Paramount+ app.

@XfinityRobertA​ There is not a System option in Settings. The only choices are My Account, Video, Legal Notices, Support, Parental Controls and Closed Captions. This is an Xi6-T Box. I don't see a way to update any of the apps installed on this box.

@XfinityJimmy​ No. The app works fine on my other devices. It's only slow, laggy and sluggish on the Xi6-T box. It seems this app does need an update to improve the performance.
