Stalls with error RDK-03012-0

Can't get FLEX pass the update. This error shows. After about 10 minutes it goes thru a series if restarts. Then it repeats the process. 

I have it wired. Google wifi doesn't have WPS. The remote works, but won't let me use manual setup for wifi. It does download small bit of software for a split second, but not a real update. 

Rebooting, in plugging, ?xdinity assistant all no help.

Hello @user_631ce8! Can you direct message us your name and address, please? Make sure you are signed in with your Xfinity credentials.

1. In the top right corner, you'll see a little chat icon near the bell icon. Click the direct message icon

2. Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

3. In the 'To' line, type "Xfinity Support" there. A drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list (an "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line)

4. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

5. Press Enter to send it. An official employee, such as myself or whoever is first available, will respond. Thanks!

I've talked to 2 support people. 1st went thru troubleshooting steps and decided we needed an on-site tech. The 2nd one said he felt the device was defective and the easiest fix was for me to exchange it at my Xfinity store. I'll do that this week.
