Turn off WiFi on Xfinity Flex Device

My Flex device is connected on Ethernet so I have no need for the wifi to be on for the device.  However, when I go into the settings I see that wifi is still scanning.  Is there a way to turn it off?

Welcome to our community forum,

@ Jflex! There is not an option to disable Wi-Fi on the Flex device. What happens when you pause the device in the xFi app? You can find instructions here: https://comca.st/3gI6OAg;

What should happen when you pause the device?  I am not able to get to the link you provided (page not found).

@Jflex

I am sorry the link didn’t work. Here is the link for Personalizing and Controlling Your Home Network with Xfinity xFi - https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/personalize-customize-hnetwork-xfi

The above link assumes that you have our xFi enabled Wireless Gateway.

To the best of my knowledge, the Xfinity Flex box does not have the option turn off the WiFi, but, as you indicate it can be connected to ethernet.

You may also find this page to be helpful for all Xfinity Flex questions -   https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfinity-flex-faqs

I hope this helps!

I no longer work for Comcast.
