When switching to XFinity Flex (via HDMI), Screen Flashes Green and Black and then Low Resolution, Low Dimension XFinity Appears

When I switch the input of my TV to the HDMI connection associated with my XFinity Flex box, the TV screen flashes a green and black pattern.  After a brief moment, the XFinity display appears, but it is scaled down and low resolution.  The rest of the inputs to the TV work fine, including the built-in Roku.  This is a new development -- it's worked fine for about a year.

Thanks so much for posting on our community forums, @user_37d0a0! I appreciate the opportunity to help with your Xfinity Flex concerns. I can imagine your frustration. Especially if this is a new development. Unexpected issues like this can be super stressful. But we will get to the bottom of it. To confirm, what troubleshooting steps have you taken so far? Did you try rebooting the Flexbox manually or through the Xfinity App? We also recommend trying a different HDMI cable. This will help rule out any faulty wires.

@XfinityDilary​ I actually contacted support a night ago, and Comcast is sending me a new flex box.  In the meantime, I completely shut down the power strip to which everything was attached, and although this isn't the first time I restarted everything, it has started working again. But maybe the new box will help prevent the chances of a recurrence.

Thanks for the update, @user_37d0a0! I'm glad our Support team was able to get a new box mailed out. And I appreciate your troubleshooting attempts. I'm happy to hear the manual restart worked. Keep us in the loop. We want to make sure the service continues to work properly after the new box is installed. If not, we can continue assisting at any time.
