Xumo Number buttons for Xfinity Stream App

Hello, I am hoping someone knowledgeable can answer this question for me. Once I am in the Xfinity Stream App using the Xumo Stream Box, can the number buttons be used to find and select the different channels, that is, channel 702, etc.? I have a Roku streaming device using the Xfinity Stream App, and all I can do is find and select a channel, but I cannot select a channel using voice command. The Amazon Fire TV behaves in the same manner. I am trying to decide if the Xumo Stream Box is worth the cost. We have X1 TV with 2 Cloud DVR's, & 4 X1 STBs. Maybe eliminate the 4 STBs and use the Xfinity Stream instead with Xumo, Roku, or Amazon Fire TV. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there Macuser4770 👋 You're in the right place for your question on Xfinity Stream, so thanks for stopping by! The good news is that you can definitely search for channels by channel number when watching live TV on the Xfinity Stream app. On the Live TV menu, you can use the Find Channels option to search for specific networks or channels, including by channel number. This allows you to either jump directly to that channel or start watching it right away 👍

If that's a feature that makes using Xfinity Stream more viable for you, it can for sure replace some of those additional boxes while providing the same experience! Let me know if you have any additional questions on that.

Hello @XfinitySeth, thanks for your reply. For clarification, you are telling me that when I'm in the Xfinity Stream App using the Xumo Stream Box, the number buttons on the Xumo remote can be used to select a channel, like on the remote for the X1 TVs. I can't find much on YouTube or on the web about the Xumo Stream Box with Xfinity, and the store I visited wasn't very helpful, other than saying it's a streaming device like Roku without going into any details. Looking forward to your reply.

Macuser4770, Yes, that’s right. On the Xumo Stream Box, the number buttons 0–9 on the Xumo remote, like the XR100, let you enter channels directly in the Xfinity Stream App, just like on an X1 box.

Hello @XfinityNatalie, my apologies. Thank you for your quick response and clarification on how the Xfinity Stream App functions with the Xumo Stream Box. Now I understand how the Xumo Stream Box works with the Xfinity Stream App. Now I have some options. Another question: Is the Xfinity Stream App (on) Streaming (using Internet Data) when the TV is off and the Xumo Stream Box is in "standby" mode?

Macuser4770, The Xfinity Stream app does not continue streaming or using internet data when your TV is turned off, and the Xumo Stream Box is in standby mode.
