Sound missing from some recordings

I’ve now had several Xfinity DVR recordings essentially ruined because of audio problems.

In some cases, the recording had no sound at all. In others, I was watching a program delayed while it was still recording, paused it, and came back later only to find that the audio was gone from the point where I had paused through the rest of the recording.

This is not a minor inconvenience. The entire purpose of a DVR is to reliably preserve a program so it can be watched later. If the recording loses its audio, the recording is useless.

I’ve experienced this more than once, so this does not appear to be an isolated glitch. Has anyone else experienced recordings with missing audio, particularly after pausing a program while it is still being recorded?

Xfinity really needs to investigate the reliability of its DVR system. A recording should not be at risk of becoming unusable simply because the viewer pauses it or watches it while the recording is still in progress.

Hi there @user_sip8w9 Thank you so much for reaching out on our Xfinity Community Forum.  I'll be happy to assist.  Have you tried swapping out your DVR to see if you experience the same issue?
