Caller ID on TV displays an incorrect caller name

When I call my Xfinity Voice home phone (landline) from my cell phone, the cell # displays correctly, but the name of the caller (me) is not correct. It shows a completely different person’s name. (I assume it may be the name of the person that previously had my cell # before it was assigned to me.)

I have contacted customer service and they assured me the issue will be resolved within a specified amount of time…and of course, it never is.
Has anyone else had this issue and if yes, how did you get it resolved ?

Thanks!

Thank you for reaching out @user_h31fqt. I am sorry to hear the line is showing a previous name when calling. The only information transmitted when a wireless customer makes an outgoing call is the mobile device number (MDN)and should be the name "Wireless Caller." If any name other than "Wireless Caller" is being displayed, that name is left over from the previous user. When you reached out do you know if the representative was able to reach out to Verizon to assist with the MDN?

As far as I am aware, no one has reached out to Verizon. The cell service provider (Visible) said they would correct the issue on their side to show the cell number as ‘wireless caller’, but that I needed to contact Xfinity since that is who provides the Caller ID service.  Hopefully, Xfinity’s Advanced Tech Support team is working on a resolution.
