Change my voice home phone number

I want to change my home voice phone number (my landline). I get too many spam calls. How do I change it?

Hi @user_s36lo8, I completely understand where you’re coming from. There is nothing more frustrating than your home phone ringing constantly with "Potential Spam" or telemarketers, especially when you’re just trying to relax.

Before we go through the process of changing your number, I’d love to help you try a few of our free defense tools first. Often, these can stop the ringing without you having to lose a number.
 
Two things you can try right now:
 
1. Xfinity Voice Anonymous Call Rejection: This automatically blocks any caller who hides their Caller ID info. If they don't show a number, your phone won't even ring.
(From your home phone)
  1. Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.
  2. Press *77 and listen for a confirmation tone indicating the feature has been activated. Press *87 to deactivate.

2. Spam Blocker: Control is in your hands as you choose which types of call you want to block and which to send to voicemail, helping put an end to the nuisance calls in your life.
