Disable voicemail

For 8 years I have had an Xfinity land line and calls went to my phone's voicemail.  Recently, all calls are going to the Comcast voicemail, which is NOT what I want.  How do I remove this?  I am the account owner, this is a Comcast/Xfinity landline.  There are no Chat buttons in this forum to start any conversation.  I have read the other Xfinity suggestions, and guess what, my account doesn't have those settings.  Besides spending forever on the phone with Comcast/Xfinity , how do I remove this action that I don't want and didn't ask for?

Some accurate and real answers would be appreciated.

Are you saying you want to use an answering machine?  If so, I think you can set the answering machine to take the call in, e.g., 3 rings. If Comcast voicemail is set to pick up in 4 rings, that would take care of your problem.

Yes,  I don’t wait any calls going toComcast Voicemail.  I want Comcast Voicemail removed from my account and allow my phone’s voicemail to handle calls.

@user_ff121c, we will be happy to help with getting your voicemail service removed. Can you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? We look forwarding to assisting you!

To send a "Peer to peer" ("Private") message:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Peer to peer chat" icon
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Xfinity Jimmy,

Thanks for this answer.  I did follow these instructions and after spending one painful hour being asked questions, such as name address, etc, one by one at 10 minute intervals, the associate did claim that voicemail has been removed from my account.

I will test this on May 10 to make sure that it is gone.
