phone number bring screened even though I unblocked it

I accidently blocked a cell number I do not want unblocked on my xfinity voice landline. I manually unblocked it from the website and it's not showing up on the call screening list but it's still being screened.  Help!

If the number has already been removed from the call screening/blocked list but is still being screened, there are a few things I'd check next:

  1. Wait a little longer if the unblock was recent

    • Changes made through the Xfinity Voice portal don't always take effect immediately.
    • Give it at least a few hours, and in some cases up to 24 hours, to fully sync.
  2. Check for multiple call filtering features

    • Verify the number is not listed under any other features such as:
      • Anonymous Call Rejection
      • Selective Call Rejection
      • Call Screening
      • Advanced Call Blocking / Spam Block
    • Sometimes a number can be affected by a different feature than the one you originally edited.
  3. Try re-adding and removing the number

    • Add the number back to the screening/block list.
    • Save the change.
    • Then remove it again and save.
    • This can sometimes force the platform to refresh the entry.
  4. Restart the phone equipment

    • If you're using an Xfinity Voice gateway/eMTA, rebooting it after making the change can help it pull updated feature settings.
  5. Test what the caller hears

    • Does the caller hear:
      • A message asking them to announce themselves?
      • A spam screening prompt?
      • A busy signal or disconnect?
    • The exact behavior can help identify which feature is still intercepting the call.

@user_adlcsy Hi there! You can deactivate the feature completely:

Deactivate Call Screening

Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.
Press *80.
When prompted, press 3 to turn the feature off.

Please see the full feature of Call Screening here.
