Simultaneous Ring feature discontinued and sub-par call forwarding
Why and when did Xfinity discontinue the simultaneous ring feature? In this day and and age with everyone using mobile phones it was an outstanding feature that helped you not miss your calls - you can't use call forwarding the same way. If I need to leave home and don't want to miss a call, sure I can forward but then if I need to call my home later than day when I know my kids are home, I can't call because I get a busy signal. Not only that, if you use call forwarding, it only rings once in my house and I don't even have a chance to answer, it's absurd.
I ported my home line to Verizon for less than a month and now that I am back with Xfinity, I can't get the feature back. I remained a internet and cable customer during the entire time and am a long standing customer for those services for at least 15 years. This change is a MASSIVE step backwards and is making me reconsider taking my phone back to Verizon - I came back to Xfinity for the simultaneous ring feature. If I go to Verizon, I'm taking all of my business there.

I had the Simultaneous Ring feature as well until recently. We moved, transported our land line number, and the feature no longer worked. I agree with the other user…BIG mistake in Xfinity’s part. That is a useful feature for those of us who want to continue having a land line as well as cell service. I’d like a response letting me know that you are reinstating the feature…SOON! And if not, why not?!

Count me in too. Used the feature daily for years. Just moved, transferred service, and now it's gone! What a shame!
