Turn Off Call Waiting

I would like to permanently disable call waiting on my Xfinity home phone. It seems like the only way to do that is to post something here and wait for an Xfinity employee to respond and do that? Am I correct on that? Thanks in advance for any help.

user_l77pf1, Thank you for reaching out to Xfinity Support. You are correct. We will need to help you disable call waiting for you. To temporarily cancel Call Waiting on Xfinity Voice, follow these steps:
  1. Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.
  2. Press **\*70**.
  3. Call Waiting will be canceled for the current call only.
  4. After you hang up, Call Waiting will be active again.

Please send us a direct chat message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forum's page.

Here are the detailed steps to direct message us:

• Click "Sign In" if necessary

• Click the "Direct Message” icon (upper right corner of this page)

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "to" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

• Press Enter to send your message
