turn off voice mail
Hello: I want to turn off voice mail. I have an answering machine. My home phone calls are also diverted to my cell phone. However, there are times (if the modem needs a reset) when a call goes to the Xfinity voice mail and I will not know that because 5 months of the year I am out of state. Please tell me how to disable the voice mail. I see past posts regarding this but also saw that the person was instructed to to do a peer to peer request or conversation and I could not find how to do this.

I have the same problem. I never signed up for xfinity vm. But if I am on the phone and i get another call it goes to voicemail. I never realized this, and for more than a year, I have lost many calls. Including hospital stay time when a roommate needed me and I did not get the msg.
