Dropped landline (VoiP over Wifi) calls - reaolved?

People called and we answered and the caller couldnt hear us talking to them on our panasonic witeless phones (using XFinity call service) - the caller thought we hung up on them. So I confirmed having the latest approved wifi router, reset my Xfinity wifi modem (physically power cycled my XB7), still dropping calls! I then reset the gateway (using the XFinity App), unplugged my XE2-SH wifi extender from wall, changed phone line (rj-11) line from port #1, port #2 and back to port #1. Still dropping calls!! Grrr. Tightned ALL the connections inside house (had been fine for many years) and ran “troubleshoot network” multiple times and all was green. So I decided maybe this Xfinity spam call blocker service might be misfiring. Went in my XFinity App, disabled the Xfinity spam calls screener/blocker service and VOILA!! So far all good, long phone calls nonproblemo!  Maybe its fixed??  Will update if changes. (Putting the purchase of a plug in rj-11 jack/splitter on hold for now. )

user_bez52g Thanks for sharing your experience with us and for the update on what resolved the issue. I'm glad you figured it out. Is the phone service still working properly?

Sorry to say it was good for 2 days and now acting the same again - “disconnects” as before. Maybe the only real solution is the wall socket plug-in active rj-11 jack connector that one other guy mentioned. Maybe it boost signal upstream, not sure.
