Hi there, @user_a13b69 I'm very sorry for the static you are experiencing on your home phone. Please be assured you reached the right person to assist you. Have you tried turning your modem off from the electrical outlet for about 1 minute and then plugging it back in again?

@XfinityRichard

Thanks Richard. I tried what you said, and it didn't work. I was able to speak to a tech at Comcast, he tried a few things, but is sending someone out to help, this weekend.

Thanks for trying that step, @user_a13b69. I am sorry that didn't resolve the problem but am glad we have a visit set up. We certainly want your calls to be clear and without any issues. We will reach out at the end of the weekend to see how the visit went and to ensure there a no more issues with the service.

Good Evening @user_a13b69 how did the visit go from the Technician. Did they resolve the static on the phone line?

I can understand why that would be so frustrating, and I am sorry about that! Have you been able to try any troubleshooting to see if that clears it up? If you have tried the usual and nothing seems to be helping, you can also send us a DM here by following these directions:

To send a direct message you may need to:

Click "Sign In"

Click the "direct message" icon

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it

I no longer work for Comcast.
