Got new wifi/cable modem (my own). It does not, is not voice compatible
I got a new Arris G54 Surfboard, knowing it is not voice compatible. I do have xfinity voice. How do I get my voice to work? Do I need a 2nd router or is there a work around? How would I connect a 2nd router that is voice compatible? Brands/recommendations as to how to solve would be greatly appreciated. Can I use a cable splitter and 2nd one cable to the Arris G54 and 2nd cable to a modem that handles voice?

Hi there @dsmack10, Thank you so much for reaching out and for your detailed message. You are correct that the Arris G54 is not voice-compatible and that your proposed solutions, while creative, unfortunately won't work with our system. You'll want to use a Xfinity-provided gateway or Xfinity-compatible voice modem/gateway.
