How do I add a second phone (in a different room) to my existing landline number?
I am able to connect my Xfinity base station to ports and set up and get everything working. Internet works and I am able to connect the landline phone to the base station.
Is it possible to connect another phone in another room (using the same number)?
Do I need a second modem, and which device would it need to be?
Thanks!

Yes, This is easy, So all the phone jacks in your home are inner connected. Simply Take a phone cord, From back of the modem and plug it into the phone jack in the wall. Soon as you do all phone jacks in the house will be connected to that line. So you can connect other phones in the house into the wall jacks and they will all be connected to the same line. :)

Hi,
Thank for this answer! Yes, I had tried that first. It seems that multiple ports for plugging the base station in for internet are working.
However, when I plug into the phone jack, as you say, I am unable to plug phones into the jacks and have them working.
Is there a way of connection another base station (or just a modem) and not have it cause conflicts with the existing base station?
Thanks!
