I installed xb8 gateway and my xfinity voice home phone does not work. I am getting a dead line.

I installed the xB8 gateway and connected the phone line but it's not working. I am getting a dead line. Please help.

It was working fine and the xfinity suggested the upgraded gateway and it's not working with my phone. If they reached out to me and then sent it to me, why won't it work with the services I already had?

Hello, @user_jn47e2 thanks for reaching out to us on Forums. I know you want to get your Voice phone working again, and our team can get this fixed. It sounds like we need to take steps to activate phone service on the new modem. When you have a chance send us a direct message, so we can get your dial tone and service back! You can use the Direct Messaging icon at the top of the page to send your name and service address to "Xfinity Support." It's next to the bell icon on the right side of the page.
