Landline not working with new Xfi gateway

I installed a new xfi gateway this weekend to replace my old modem. The wifi now works much better in my house, but my landline phone is not working properly. I get a dial tone, and I can receive calls, but I can't make outgoing calls--every number I try calling I get a busy signal. I've walked through the issue twice with Comcast support, they've restarted the gateway twice, and initially that solved the problem, but each time the problem returns.

Now I've been told that people can't make calls to our landline. They just get a busy signal.

Hello @user_c7935b Thank you for sharing the trouble with our community. In most cases we would do or best to keep all troubleshooting steps available for everyone to see, but based on the symptoms you have shared I believe the issue is isolated to an account provisioning level. Would you please send a direct message to us at Xfinity Support and we will help with your phone service. I will need your name and service address to locate the account. I look forward to hearing from you and resolving the phone trouble! 😀
