New Gateway - No Voip

I just installed a new XB8 Gateway, (replacing the old XB7).

After numerous reboots and wasted time with Xfinity Assistant plus a direct call with tech support…Internet worked.

I still do not have active VoIP dial tone and the XFinity App shows my Xfi Gateway is Offline…even though I have WiFi and Internet.

do I need to return the new XB8 for another…or???

VoIP working now…I do not know which technical pro solved the problem remotely.

I was unaware that sending a direct message violated community rules. Thank You.
