No dial tone

I need help. I changed my modem and do not have a dial tone for my phone

Thanks for reaching out to us about the dial tone for your landline service. Did you make sure you plugged your phone Jack into the telephone port for the new modem, also have you tried rebooting your modem once it's connected to the telephone port

I have the same problem.  The new gateway was installed and now there is no dial tone on landline.  All incoming calls go directly to voicemail.  I've reset the gateway.  The phone is connected directly to the gateway, so it is not house wiring.  I have confirmed phone connections on the gateway are applied correctly to the telephone port, applying them exactly the way they were in the old gateway and as per new instructions.  Television and Internet are working.  This should be a simple swap.  I have rebooted the gateway, and it did not solve any problems.  I am handicapped and I need to have my phone active at all times.  I cannot be down for days like so many of your other customers are experiencing.  I hope you can see how concerning this is.

I have the same issue and despite multiple trips through the troubleshooting steps, haven’t been able to fix it.  Xfinity customer service is unresponsive.  What’s the fix?  Based on the posts here, this is a common problem.

I have no dial tone after updating my modem (still an Xfinity modem).  I did all of the tips in the article and rebooted my modem.

We have also upgraded to the new modem and no have no dial tone. We have followed all the instructions on the nohelp pages provided by Xfinity and followed the circular links on the pages promising "help" and only sent to previously viewed pages with no information. Does anyone know how to fix this or do we just move to another provider?
