Number Not in Service

I have xfinity voice mail on my home phone number. I've had it for several years. Recently one of my family members told me that my phone was not working. When she called my home the phone answered "This number is not in service". I can use it to dial out with no problem. Has anyone else had this problem?

Hello @user_8aaa16, thanks for reaching out for help with your phone service. It's definitely a bit strange that you are able to make but not receive calls, but you came to the right place for help.

By chance have you tried calling your home number from your cell, just to make sure the number is being dialed correctly? You can also use your Xfinity app to ensure that the number they are dialing is the number associated with your account.

@XfinityRyanE Have the same issue with my Comcast phone S21 5G.

Called support and was advised to dial *73 and then reset network settings. Rebooted the phone to no avail. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the replies.

Turns out that my call forward was set up to send calls to a non-existing number on the first ring.  Turning this off eliminated the issue. I really don't know how this was changed but it is corrected now.
