Hi there, @user_qofvqv! I understand you need assistance with your Xfinity Voice line not having a dial tone. You can check for any area interruptions in the handy Xfinity app. When you go through troubleshooting in the app, it will check for that.

Here are a few troubleshooting steps that can fix this problem:

1. Reset your modem.

2. Check that the phone cord is plugged into Tel 1 on the back of the modem.

3. If you have a cordless phone, put that on the base and then reset the phone base unit.

Please let me know if this helps or if you need additional assistance.

My phone was stuck on talk back. Wouldn't let me out of talk back app. I never requested this app nor do I want it. So I tried to restart my phone, and now it's stuck on that screen. Won't restart or move at all

Hello @user_asqruw, thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. It appears the TalkBack App is a Google Accessibility app? This may be on the device by default. If you are experiencing issues with the app, perhaps you can go into the settings and force close the app if you're on Android. Can you see if you can open the Settings App -> Apps -> TalkBack App and see if it is listed for force close?
