problems with VoIP

I call my father twice a day, and we have intermittent trouble with the quality of the calls. Some days I can hear an echo of my voice, but only on outgoing calls. Other days we can talk for 20 or 30 minutes and then I hear him ask if I'm still there. I can hear him, but he can't hear me and has to call me back. Then there are other times when I can hear him perfectly, but he says he can only hear every other word or two. Is anyone else having this problem? He has a regular landline. Thanks for any suggestions.

@user_4b4191 Thank you for reaching out to the Xfinity Forum team. When did this start occurring? Does this happen when you call any other line or just your father's line?

@XfinityZacharyA - these problems have been happening for months, and since I usually use my cell phone for other calls, I've only noticed the issues when I call my father.

@user_4b4191 Has your father mentioned if he sees the issue with any other callers? I want to isolate issue to see if it is stemming from your landline.
