Voicemail support

I see this is a common problem.  I cannot change the number of rings on my voicemail.  Call forwarding has no options.  I need it to be nine so my phone system can pick up.  I have called xfinity three times.  Seems so simple.

Hey there, @user_wdpqn3. Thank you for creating your own post to get started. I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you've had with resolving this, and I'd love to see what we can do to help! To fix this and get your rings set to nine, try this specific sequence:

The "Hidden Menu" Workaround
1. Sign in to our Voice Settings page.

2. Go to Call Forwarding → Advanced Call Forwarding.

3. The Trick: If you don't see a "Rings" dropdown, try adding a temporary phone number (like your mobile number) to the forwarding list and click Activate.

4. Once a number is active in that section, the Rings dropdown menu should "spawn" or become visible.

5. Select 9 from the dropdown menu and click Save/Apply.

6. You can then delete the temporary number or turn the forwarding status to Off, and the 9-ring setting for your primary home phone should remain.

Important Details
- Propagation Time: Even after you save the change, it can take up to 24 hours for our servers to update the actual ring timing on your line.

- The 9-Ring Limit: Our maximum is exactly nine rings. If your physical phone system is also set to a high number, make sure it is set to 8 or fewer so it has time to grab the call before our 9th ring triggers the digital voicemail.

Please let us know if this helps! And if we need to take a closer look and/or escalate this on your behalf, we will certainly do our best!
