Xfinity Home contract signature policy (Answered)

***Updated 8/25/2026***

Xfinity Home wants you to be prepared for your installation appointment. The account holder or another responsible adult who is 18 years of age or older must be home during the appointment. They will make choices about your security system and sign the Residential Alarm Installation and Services Agreement and corresponding Equipment Addendum.

If you're moving your existing services to a new address, you must sign these documents as part of your Xfinity Home installation. For details, see the FAQs for Xfinity Home equipment transfers.

If the account holder is not home to sign the Subscriber Agreement during installation, any responsible adult at least 18 years old and given authority to make installation and service choices (equipment type and location) can sign the contract. The person at home during the installation must be able to:

  • Use the login and password for the primary Xfinity ID.
  • Create the master security code and password. This is given to the Central Monitoring Station in case of an alarm.
  • Give the Call to Notify/Verify numbers necessary to set up the system.
  • Tell the account holder and other residents of the home about the features of the Xfinity Home system.
  • Complete permit applications if needed in your town or city.
    • Some places need an alarm permit at the time of install.

You can sign and accept your Xfinity Home contract electronically on a digital device. It’s presented by the technician at the time of installation. Once the eContract is signed, a copy of it is sent to the email address given within 24 hours. You can also see it by logging into the Xfinity app or online.

FAQs

What if I need a copy of the eContract?

First, check your email for messages you got about your installation. Electronically signed contracts are sent by Comcast eSign with the DocuSign email address (dse_na2@docusign.net). If you don’t see the email, check folders like Junk, Spam, or Deleted.

What if I can't find or I deleted the email?

You can find a copy of your eContract by logging into your account on the Xfinity app or online.
