Tips for faster speeds
- Use a wired connection (Ethernet) for the fastest speeds.
- Pause downloads/uploads.
- Close any open apps.
- Turn off other devices using the internet.
- Place your Gateway in a central location near where you want WiFi coverage.
- Make sure your modem or router is up-to-date.
- Older devices (like DOCSIS 3.0) can’t handle Gigabit speeds. Check for upgrades at xfinity.com/equipmentupdate.
