ANSWERED: How to access the Xfinity app

Using the Xfinity app

You can download the latest version from Apple App Store or Google Play.

Eligibility

The Xfinity app is available for all Xfinity Voice, TV, Mobile, and Internet customers (not including Xfinity Prepaid Internet service). Depending on the line of service, gateway model, Bridge Mode status, or modem you have, the available app features will vary.

If you’re a new Xfinity Internet customer, you can begin using the Xfinity app while waiting for your professional install appointment or Getting Started kit. Using the Xfinity app, you can:

  • Track your order.
  • Sign up for Xfinity Rewards.
  • Learn about Xfinity hotspots.
  • Get started with Xfinity Stream.
  • Set up multi-factor authentication.
  • Activate equipment.

Device requirements

Supported mobile operating systems (OSs):

  • iOS 14 or later.
  • Android 7.1 or later.
  • Note: Windows and Amazon phones aren't supported.

Xfinity app functions

Do any of the following with the Xfinity app:

MANAGE YOUR ACCOUNT

  • Manage billing:
    • See your bill.
    • Make a payment.
      • Manage your billing preferences.
    • Store payment methods.
    • Sign up for paperless billing or automatic payments.
    • See scheduled payments.
    • See Order Status and History.
    • View details about your Xfinity Mobile bill, including:
      • Balance.
      • Billing cycle statement.
      • Automatic payments information.
      • Transaction history.
      • How to make or schedule a payment.
  • Manage identity:
    • Change your chosen name and/or pronouns on your Xfinity and Xfinity Mobile accounts.
    • See your account number, address, email addresses, security PIN, and Xfinity Voice number(s).
  • Manage security:
    • Update your password.
    • Enroll in two-step verification.
    • Review recent sign-ins.
    • Manage your linked accounts.
  • Manage plan:
    • View all services subscribed to.
    • Review your plan details.
    • Access offers to make changes.
    • See Internet and Xfinity Mobile data usage.
    • Add, suspend, resume or cancel Xfinity Mobile line(s).
    • Add or remove Global Travel Pass and/or Mexico and Canada Call Pass for Xfinity Mobile.
    • Add or remove Xfinity Mobile Protection Plan (XMPP).
    • Upgrade or switch Xfinity Mobile devices.
    • Upgrade or change Xfinity Mobile data plan.
    • Change shared data amount for By the Gig data plans.
    • Turn on or off HD Streaming for Xfinity Mobile.
  • Manage Appointments:
    • See date and time of appointment.
    • Reschedule or cancel repair appointments.
    • Find Xfinity Retail Store locations in your area and get directions.

HELP AND SUPPORT

  • Access help and support articles and modules.
  • Access Xfinity Assistant.
  • Access your Xfinity Email and address book.
  • Find out if there's an outage in your area.
  • Submit an XMPP claim.
  • Report damaged, lost or stolen Xfinity Mobile devices.

Note: The following features are not available to Xfinity TV/Xfinity Voice only customers (not subscribed to Xfinity Internet) or Xfinity Internet customers with rented Xfinity Wireless Gateways (XB2) and Xfinity Gateways (XB3 and higher)inBridge Mode.

ACTIVATE AND PAIR YOUR DEVICES

  • Activate your Xfinity Gateway or owned modem.
  • Activate WiFi Boost Pods (for Xfinity Gateways only).
  • Pair your Xfinity Cameras.
  • Link your Works with Xfinity devices.

Note: If you have Xfinity Cameras or Works with Xfinity devices, you can onboard, view and manage these devices from Security. Xfinity Home is required to link Works with Xfinity devices. If you’re a non-Xfinity Internet customer, Works with Xfinity devices that use Zigbee can only be linked using the Xfinity Home app.

MANAGE NETWORK AND TROUBLESHOOT

  • See devices and connections status.
  • Access Xfinity Camera settings.
  • View live and recorded videos.
    • Recorded video is only available for customers with 24/7 Recording.
  • Control your linked Works with Xfinity devices.
  • Test connections to your devices.
  • Troubleshoot and restart your gateway/modem.
  • Troubleshoot your Xfinity video devices.
  • Troubleshoot your Xfinity Mobile device.
