add an additional esim to my new iPhone16 Pro Max

I have iPhone 12 Pro Max with Dual SIM (1 Tmobile & 1 International eSIM). I have recently traded my iPhone12 with Xfinity and got iPhone 16 device. I have ported my Tmobile number to Xfinity mobile successfully. However, I am unable to add a second eSIM to my new iPhone 16 by transferring from old iPhone 12. Tmobile carrier supports dual SIM on Apple iPhone without any issues. Is Xfinitiy Mobile carrier doesn't support dual SIM on Apple iPhones ? Is this a kind of limitation if we choose xfinity mobile carrier with iphones? If yes, when would be xfinity mobile able to support dual eSIM on iphones?

I am kind of blocked by switching to xfinity mobile now.

@user_vera We are so glad you chose Xfinity as your new mobile carrier.

This is a great question.  With a dual sim device we would support the eSIM capability.

At this time, we only support one mobile service (Xfinity Mobile or Comcast Business Mobile) per device, regardless of whether you have a dual SIM device.

However, dual SIM functionality can support adding a second line from another domestic carrier or a local data plan if you’re traveling outside of the country.  Your phone must be unlocked to use its dual SIM functionality with another carrier.

@user_vera To use dual SIM functionality with another carrier, your phone must be unlocked. If you are receiving bill credits for a promotion you just signed up for, you'll have to wait until that term is up. If you pay off your device early, you'll lose those credits. Check your contract terms.
