Another unauthorized port scam

Like many other posts on here I had my number stolen or ported out to what they told was Tmobile without our permission and they tried to buy items, open a credit card and gain access to our accounts tied to the phones authentication. Xfinity rep says it would take 2 weeks to get the phone number back while the scammer has full access to the phone number accounts. Had to call credit agencies freeze our accounts and change all passwords taking up multiple days of our time. The customer support is from India and [Edited: "Inflammatory"] or Xfinity is completely incompetent. Speaking with them multiple times has yielded wrong information or they are lying. We tried to contact Tmobile and they have no record of the ported number so things don't add up. I think if this is how Xfinity handles fraud cases and treats long time customers its time to move on to a different service.

Thank you for reaching out to us @user_y6gnqb! This is far from the experience we want you to have. All my bank accounts use my phone number for two-factor authentication, I know just how crucial it is to get to the bottom of this issue.
